Shanks brings 22 years of softball coaching experience including coaching at the Division I and III levels, national club level, private instruction and consulting with various universities.
Through her work with top-level programs and players, she has proven to be one of the top pitching minds in the sport.
In previous coaching positions, Shanks worked with the highest level of softball pitchers from programs in the SEC, Big12, BigTen, Big East, ACC and Pac12.
Shanks has provided biomechanical evaluation with focus on increasing effiency and velocity for pitchers that have played on the U.S. National Team and played professional softball in the United States and internationally. Her private instruction role also includes working with recruits who will play or have played within the SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, Missouri Valley and Pac12.
Having earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Logan College, Shanks has integrated the medical profession into her coaching experience to successfully design and implement training regiments for NCAA programs that have produced College World Series titles and All-americans.
